‘Make Your Mark’ Scholarship

SPRING 2018 MAKE YOUR MARK SCHOLARSHIPS

As of 4/16/2018 – no more entries will be accepted for the “Spring 2018 Make Your Mark Scholarship.” Stay tuned!  We’ll announce our winners in May!

Any member of staff or faculty of the student’s sponsoring school can serve as the advisor. All scholarship applications must be verified by an advisor recommendation email. After electronic submission of the student application, an email will be generated to the advisor listed on the application.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

1st Place: $1,500
2nd Place: $1,250
3rd Place: $1,000
4th Place: $750

SCHOLARSHIP QUESTION

“How will an international education 
help me make a difference in the world?”

Applicants must respond to the Scholarship
Question using a minimum of 750 words and
a maximum of 1,000 words.

 

ELIGIBILITY

 

All international students
in active F, J, M or Q visa status currently enrolled
in a US institute of higher education.*

EXCLUSIONS

Students studying in the states of New York,
Maryland, and South Dakota are not eligible
for this scholarship.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

April 15, 2018 (Scholarships will be announced
the week of May 4, 2018)

JUDGING CRITERIA

Essays are evaluated and winners are selected
based on the following criteria:

Vision (40%)
Creativity (30%)
Clarity (20%) 
Advisor’s reason for nominating the student (10%)

U.S. STUDENTS STUDYING ABROAD

1st Place: $750

SCHOLARSHIP QUESTION

“How will my trip abroad shape who 
I am as a global citizen?”

Applicants must respond to the Scholarship
Question using a minimum of 750 words and
a maximum of 1,000 words.

All US students
currently enrolled in a Study Abroad program
in an institute of higher education.*
